Kubah Shakhrah Kubah Shakhrah is a Muslim shrine erected on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in 691 AD. This place named Kubah Shakhrah because it was erected on the highest part (peak) of Mountain Moria. Before I tell you guys about Kubah Shakhrah, I would like to tell you something. So that is complex Al-Aqsha. Many people says that Kubah Shakhrah is Al-Aqsha. Actually Kubah Shakhrah is the center of Masjid Al-Aqsha, in Palestine. this is the sketch of Kubah Shakhrah. The architect is Khalifah Abdul Malik bin Marwan. The structure is basically octagonal. It is capped at its centre by a dome, approximately 20 m (66 ft) in diameter, mounted on an elevated circular drum standing on 16 supports (4 tiers and 12 columns).
